Life Church St. Louis is an Assembly of God church for all ages, races and nationalities located in Chesterfield, MO. We offer a balance of in-depth practical biblical teaching and an emphasis on the Holy Spirit's power to change lives. We invite you to be our guest in our Sunday service at 10 am.
The series Biblical Parenting will focus both on parenting physical children, as well as discipling spiritual children. Every believer, should be either being discipled or discipling others to become mature followers of Jesus Christ. Learn how you can teach your children to know the Lord and grow in godliness.
The Bible teaches us the characteristics that parents need in order to grow a godly family. These principles will help build strong marriages that raise children who will live for God their whole lives. In this message series, you will learn from God's Word how to avoid problems in your family and how to embrace God's plan for growing a godly family.
Jesus came to set the captive free. Every person has chains that keep them from running the race of life to it's fullest. In this series, we learn how to break every chain of sin that holds you back from God's purpose for your life.
Prayer is not to be just a list of requests read off to God. The primary function of prayer is to build a relationship with God, to get to know Him and His will better. From an example of Abram, we learn principles of prayer as conversation, two-way communication. As you get to know God and His will better, you will see more and more of your requests answered.
This morning my message is entitled “Strong Marriages.” If you want to raise children who are followers of Jesus, you need a strong godly marriage as the foundation of the home. So, let’s begin this morning by looking at what Jesus had to say about marriage.
Matthew 19:4-6 (ESV) He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?
Today we begin a new message series which I’ve entitled “Biblical Parenting.” God has three primary purposes of this important series. The first purpose is to help parents with children at home raise their children by biblical principles. However, there are two other purposes that aren’t as obvious from the title. The second purpose is to impact families with children that you know. You can advance this purpose by inviting families with children to attend church.
Today, we conclude our message series “Growing a Godly Family.” Our message will be entitled “Grow in Family Love.” In this series, we’ve talked about growing in perseverance, godliness and kindness.
Today, we’re going to talk about the importance of love, which really encompasses all the other characteristics we’ve talked about. Love is what really bonds a family together. Without love it’s impossible to grow a godly family.
Let’s step back a minute and ask the question “What is a family?” Fifty years ago, we would not have to discuss the definition of a family, for everyone would know.
