The Bible is one of a kind, it is unique. It contains 66 books written by 40 different authors about thousands of topics. The Bible was written on 3 continents over the span of 1500 years in 3 languages, Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.

Being a father is a great responsibility and a great privilege. It is a great responsibility because God has given us children to raise. And those children are also a great privilege, for they are gifts from God that He has blessed us with. The very name, father, comes from our heavenly father.

Ephesians 3:14-15 (HCSB) For this reason I kneel before the Father from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named.

Our greatest responsibility and privilege is to represent and teach our children about their heavenly Father, both in our words and actions.

This summer we’re in a message series called “Heroes of Faith.” What is a hero? The dictionary defines a hero as “somebody who commits an act of remarkable bravery or who has shown an admirable quality such as great courage or strength of character.” A hero is a remarkably brave person. A hero is someone who encounters a dangerous or difficult situation and who then exhibits great courage or strength of character. So, in order for a hero to be born, there is a necessity of an enemy of what kind or another. In order for faith to be proven, there is a necessity of a challenge to that faith.
