God's truth for today's world

Last week in our GodQuest message series, we asked the question “Who Is Jesus?” The evidence determined that Jesus was either a liar, a lunatic or Lord, that is the Son of God. The evidence does not permit the answer that Jesus was merely a good teacher. Based on all the evidence, we came to the conclusion that Jesus was indeed the Son of God, God in human flesh.

Today, in our GodQuest message series, we’re going to look at what I believe is one of the most important questions in the world. If you don’t ever ask this question or you answer it wrong, your life will be immeasurably poorer in this life and infinitely worse in the life to come. However, if you know the correct answer to this question and if you choose to act on that answer, your life will be the best it can be in this life and the next. This question is highly controversial because it has so much consequence. This question divides people into two camps depending on the answer they give. The question is the title of my fifth message in our GodQuest message series, “Who Is Jesus?”

Today, in our fourth message in the GodQuest series, we are going to be looking at the question “Why Is There Suffering?” We are bombarded with stories of suffering every day in the news. Earthquakes, hurricanes, floods make their share of pain and suffering. Wars, murders, drugs and other crimes are all around us every day. Health problems, diseases, aging and mental illness cause suffering for many that we know.
